2010 Stop-over in Amsterdam

We stayed over in Amsterdam during Holland's bid for the semi-final of the World Cup, so while most of the world had one or another form of the Blues, it was a seriously orange situation in Amsterdam.
Given World Cup mania and the ruling party's position on mental kinetics...
You might imagine, revelation ran rampant in the joint.
It was Percy's birthday too, which was pretty cool for timing.
Folks were hot to see Holland win, but I gotta believe these are decals!
Here we're having dinner before heading to the massive open-air viewing of the match at Museumplein, with about 750,000 beer-bloated fans.
Within five minutes of our arriving, Holland scored their first goal
She's serious. Thedra played soccer in school
Beer chairs..., quintessentially Amsterdam.
Great fun, but with so many people, and so much more beer, herb and whatever else might have been in circulation, watching the second half at the Museumpolein was definitely not in the cards. We chose to view the rest of the match in more gentile environs.
For all the brew and erstewhile contraband, the city has a wonderfully laid back tenor.
Hopefully I'll one day return to do more photo experimentation.
There's a bit more space amidst canals and buildings, in Amsterdam than there seemed to be in Venice.
I mean, good luck riding a bicycle in Venice.
Not bad for two short days.
We gotta do it again peopz..., after the Summer Olympics in Rio!!!.
